Salman Khan is the latest Bollywood actor who is asking his followers to stay safe and practice the gesture of ‘namaste’ and ‘salaam’ in place of handshake and hug in the wake of rising cases of coronavirus in India.
Sharing a picture of his perfectly chiselled body at a gym folding his hand in ‘Namaste’ Salman in his post said, “Namashkaar ... hamari sabhyata mein namaste aur salaam hai! Jab #coronavirus Khatam ho jaye tab Haath milao aur gale lago....@beingstrongindia”
Salman recently touched the mark of 30 million followers on Instagram on Saturday and shared a short video on the platform thanking his fans for it.In the video, he first thanked fans with folded hands and then a salute.
Earlier Anupam Kher in a video asked his fans to practice the Indian way to greet. the veteran actor says that instead of shaking hands or hugging we can greet people by folding our hands and say Namaste. "It's not just hygienic but also centres your energies and since there is no contact with the other person, you can avoid catching the virus." said the actor.
Of late I am being told by lots of people to keep washing hands to prevent any kind of infection. I do that in any case. Bollywood is taking preventive measures to keep its workers and actors away from coronavirus. Filmmakers are choosing shoot locations judiciously, avoiding the countries that has the highest number of patients suffering from COVID-19. The shoot locations are equipped with hand sanitisers and masks for the entire cast and crew.
Hollyood is reconsidering release date of its upcoming movies. No Time To Die has been moved back by seven months.
