We might witness a Salman vs Ranbir clash at the Box Office

The first part of Ayan Mukerji's fantasy trilogy, Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will now hit big screens on Christmas 2019. Brahmastra is a fantasy film that's going to be released in three different parts - a triology like they call it. 

With a glittering star cast including legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, the film was earlier slated to release in August 2019. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing the film, on Tuesday, tweeted a poster which read: "'Brahmastra' now releasing on Christmas 2019."

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s third part of the Dabangg franchise, Dabangg 3 will go on floors in April this year. A report in DNA says that Salman wants to release the film on December 20, the date which was initially locked for his other film, Kick 2.

This might result in Salman vs Ranbir clash at the Box Office after Sanju and Race 3 released in the same month in June 2018. Dabangg 3, which will be directed by Prabhudheva and will also star Sonakshi Sinha.

Ranbir has previously worked with Ayan Mukerji in films such as Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Alia is walking the steps with bestie, Ayan Mukherjee for the first time in any film. Brahmastra also marks the onscreen chemistry for the first time between the new It couple of Bollywood, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

Brahmastra is a fantasy film that also stars south superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. A part of the film has been shot in Tel Aviv, Israel.
