Superstar Salman Khan will soon start shooting for the third instalment of the Dabangg franchise. Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan recently confirmed this news to a portal. He said, "Yes, Dabangg 3 will go on the floors in April, however, we are still contemplating the locations. At this point, all that I can say that the film features Salman Khan in lead and will be directed by Prabhudeva."
There have been reports that Dabangg 3 will be inspired by a real life story of a policeman based in Noida. When Arbaaz was asked about the same, he replied, "I have been reading a lot about Dabangg 3 on the social media, some say it is a remake, some say it is inspired by real-life incident, some say it is set in Noida. At present, I would like to maintain some secrecy around it."
In September last year, Dabangg completed eight years and this when Salman and Sonakshi made an official announcement of Dabangg 3 on their social media handles. Currently, Salman Khan is busy shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. The movie also stars Katrina Kaif in a vital role. The film is an adaptation of the Korean film Ode To My Father, and spans several decades.
Recently, Salman appeared on the Kapil Sharma Show and the topic of his marriage was broached yet again. The actor quipped that he was following the footsteps of his character in the film Bharat, who remains unmarried till the age of 72.
‘’Bharat film mein bhi shaadi nahi hoti, till the time I am 72. Toh usi ko follow kar raha hoon main abhi," Salman laughed. Kapil instantly quipped, "Woh toh Bhai, script ab bani hai. Isse pehle kisko follow kar rahe the?"
The film is slated to hit the theatres on Eid 2019.
