Omung Kumar on Sanjay Dutt's Bhoomi failure: We are disappointed

Director Omung Kumar has opened up on the box office failure of his recent release Bhoomi and said that he is quite disappointed with the response.

Bhoomi was one of the much awaited movies of the year and was expected to crack huge numbers given that it was Sanjay Dutt's comeback movie post his release from Yerwada Jail.

However, despite all the buzz, the movie failed to get the desired response and tanked at the box office.

Talking about the same, Omung stated, "We had expected more (numbers). We were expecting it to open really well because it was Sanjays comeback film. We are disappointed."

Notably, Bhoomi witnessed a box office clash with two other films - Rajkummar Rao-starrer "Newton" and Shraddha Kapoors "Haseena Parkar".

The film is an emotional revenge drama, that revolves around the relationship between a father and daughter. It also features Aditi Rao Hydari and Sharad Kelkar.
