Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming movie is touted to one of the biggest union of superstars.
Rumours are ripe that Shah Rukh Khan after failing to please fans with new movie directors is going back to his tried and tested form and joining Salman and Priyanka Chopra for the 'Devdas' director's movie.
Now fresh reports by Deccan Chronicle suggest, the Padmaavat director has registered the title Gangubai with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA). The movie was purportedly supposed to be titled Heera Mandi initially, but Bhansali finally decided to go with the name of the character on whom the story is based on, on Gangubai Kothewali, a brothel owner.
“Bhansali would not just register a title for the sake of it. The script has been with him for a while and he may well get PC to do that film. Sometimes the media does put two and two together to figure out if Salman and PC are in the same film — a chance they missed out recently on Bharat. So, in all probability PC will be Gangubai,” a source was quoted as saying by the daily.
Bhansali is reuniting with Salman after a period of 7 years after Saawariya, and with Shah Rukh after a period of 16 years after Devdas. recent reports suggested that the romantic love story will be a love triangle between Shah Rukh, Salman and Priyanka.
After Priyanka pulled herself out from Bharat it was also being speculated that Salman is hesitant on the 'Mujhse Shaadi Karoge' actress as the female lead. PeeCee, however, on her latest appearance on Koffee With Karan had revealed that she is in talks with Bhansali for a film.
Priyanka will next be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky is Pink opposite Farhan Akhtar While Salman's Bharat releases on the festival of Eid.
