Love Aaj Kal Box Office Collection Day 1: This Imtiaz Ali Movie Becomes Kartik Aaryan’s Highest Opener

Despite ebbing reviews from movie-goers and critics alike, Imtiaz Ali’s movie Love Aaj Kal starring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan has opened with a bang at 12.40 crore. According to trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, the high boost at the ticket window has to do with the fact that the movie opened on Valentine’s day leading many people to see the camaraderie between the two young stars.

A remake of the 2009 movie starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone, also directed by Imtiaz Ali, 2020’s today love sees Kartik play a double role as Veer (from 2020) and Raghu (from 1990). Sara, on the other hand plays Veer's 20202 girlfriend named Zoe, a snappy city girl who wants to live life at the moment while Arushi plays Raghu's childhood sweetheart Leena.

While the movie has opened on a prosing note, speculations as to whether the movie will be able to hold momentum in coming days becomes the big question with Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker reopening in the big screens after his big Oscar win.
