Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim starrer ‘Secret Superstar’ is doing wonders at the box-office since its release on the festive season of Diwali. The movie is made with a decent budget of Rs 15 crore which was recovered on the fourth day of its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took his Twitter handle to share the four-day business of ‘Secret Superstar’ at the domestic box-office

Here’s the domestic collection of ‘Secret Superstar’ since its release –
Oct 19 – Thursday – Rs. 4.80 crore
Oct 20 – Firday – Rs. 9.30 crore
Oct 21 – Saturday – Rs. 8.71 crore
Oct 22 – Sunday – Rs. 8.50 crore
‘Secret Superstar’ received a smaller screen share in comparison to Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’ which is also released on the festive season of Diwali. ‘Secret Superstar’ is released on 1,800 screens whereas ‘Golmaal Again’ is released on 3,500 screens.
Director of ‘Secret Superstar’ expressed his happiness on the reception which his debut directorial project is receiving and said, “I went to a theatre full of people and they clapped and laughed and were moved by the film. It gave me goosebumps - this has been such a dream response!! I keep pinching myself to check if it’s real’’.
Produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, the story of the movie revolves around a teenage girl named Insiya who aspires to become a famous singer but has to stay anonymous because of her culture.
