Ayushmann Khurrana is known for making hits out of taboo subjects. The actor who made his Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor a film that deals with the subject of sperm donation and infertility among men and then went on to make ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ that addressed the subject of erectile dysfunction, will soon be seen in a movie that delves into the subject of homosexuality.
According to a report by Pune Mirror, the actor has teamed by with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan producer Aanand L Rai for the secound instalment of the successful franchise.
The quirky entertainer will be directed by Hitesh Kewalya said the a source close to the filmamaker.
It is expected to go on the floors in the last week of August. The film will be shoot all ain one schedule with the entire ensemble cast and will be released by 2020, Ayushmann will be joined by another actor for the lead role that is yet to be finalized
According to producer Aanand L Rai of Colour Yellow Productions the success of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan encouraged them to turn it into a franchise which tackles taboo subjects in the most light-hearted manner.
Talking about the movie, Ayushmann Khurrana says that its a beautiful story which will touch the hearts of the audiences and leave a smile on their face. The plot of the movie revolves around a conservative family that has to come in terms with the fact that their son is gay. Ayushmann will however wrap up Dinesh Vijan's Bala which kicked off on Monday and features him as a small town guy who is battling premature balding. it is directed by Amar Kashik of stree fame and also features Yami Gautam, Bhumi Padnekar, aved Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla ans Seema Pahwa.
