Veteran actress and National Award winner Shabana Azmi is suffering from swine flu. She went just for a routine check-up for cold and cough where it was discovered that she is suffering from swine flu. The 68-year old actress is using this time as enforced break for her and for introspection.

She said, "Rarely, do I get a chance to lie back and introspect. This is an enforced break for me, I have not been in contact with any swine whatsoever. But I am in hospital recovering fast’’.

The Makdee actress recently attended popular Jaipur Literature Festival and also shared a picture of herself with Shobha De on her social media handle and wrote, 'With my schoolmate #Shobhaa De at Jaipur Litfest today’’.

Popularly known for her roles in films including Masoom, Arth, Makdee, Ankur and Amar Akbar Anthony, Shabana Azmi recently tweeted screenshot of her daughter Zoya’s latest release Gully Boy after being appreciated by Cameron Bailey at Berlin International Film Festival.

She wrote, 'Cameron Bailey is a Canadian film critic and festival programmer. He is the artistic director and co-head of the Toronto International Film Festival’’.

On work front, she was last seen in The Big Prince which was released in the year 2017.
