Shah Rukh Khan has a surprise for acid-attack survivors on World Human Rights Day. Meeting with the survivors on Human Rights Day who will get their disfigured face transformed under his foundation, the superstar also went extra mile to help the brave women by posting on social media that he will ‘ensure’ that survivors are able to get back on their own feet.
Explaining how acid-attack struggle to get a job because of the unfortune forced upon them, King Khan wrote under his Meer Foundation on Twitter, ‘’Human Rights state that every adult has the right to a fair wage & job. Survivors find it difficult to find opportunities that will help them move back into the society. #MeerFoundation’s #ToGETherTransformed ensures survivors find the strength to get back on their feet’’.

Human Rights Day also saw trailer of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak', based on acid-attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal get a release. Calling it her most ‘special film’, Deepika, inconsolable at trailer event release said, "It's been an incredible journey, emotionally, putting it together and I feel like, irrespective of how it's received and how it does, it will be the most special film of my career and I truly hope all of you see... ‘’.
