The life and achievements of Kaur Singh -- the only Indian boxer to have fought against the legendary Muhammad Ali – is being made into a biopic. As the director, Karam Batth gears up for the release of the film, heshared that it was Shah Rukh khan who inspired him to start the shoot.

In 2017 , Shah Rukh Khan had provided Rs 5 lakh to boxing legend Kaur Singh who was struggling to pay his medical expenses. This noble gesture of King Khan has inspired actor Karam Batth to make a film on Kaur Singh. "When I first got to know about Kaur Singh and his achievements (in December 2017), he was undergoing post-operation treatment in Mohali. His poor financial condition and inability to meet the medical expenses came as a shock for me.

The pitiable condition of the Arjuna awardee also moved the Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan so much so that he gave him an amount of Rs 5 lakh through his team Kolkata Knight Riders. The film stars Karam Batth, who underwent boxing training in Canada for eight months before shooting for the movie, in the lead.

Also, the movie features actors including Prabh Grewal, Baninder Bunny, Sukhbir Gill, Avisaar, Sukhwinder Chahal, Malkeet Rauni, Seema Kaushal, Gurpreet Bhangu among others in substantial roles. is a former Indian heavyweight champion boxer from Punjab.

He has represented India in the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Singh won three gold medal for senior national boxing championship, Asian Boxing Championship and Asian Games The movie is slated to release by March 2020.
