Shah Rukh Khan’s fan, a Bahrain royal who had a lifelong dream to meet the King of Romance and other Bollywood celebrities alike didn’t go well as planned. Sheikh Hamad Isa Ali Al Khalifa Bahrain, a royal of Bahrain said that he had struck a contract with an Egyptian entrepreneur Ahmed Adel Abdallah Ahmed where the royal was to pay for meeting 26 Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Ranveer Singh, among many others.

His dream, however, turned to a chaos when he came to find out that he was sued for trying to have an unofficial meeting with the Indian stars. Sheikh Hamad Isa Ali Al Khalifa Bahrain told England's High Court on Monday he was "astonished" when he got the news that he was being sued over an alleged deal for access to top Bollywood stars.

The entrepreneur Ahmed claims that the duo had set up an agreement over the phone when Sheikh Hamad was in London in January 2016 and had then told Ahmad that he would be paid more than 1 million pounds for each meeting, plus a bonus of more than 350,000 pounds after every third meeting.

The deal to meet the Bollywood luminaries was allegedly worth 35 million pounds and Ahmed is now suing the royal for 16 million pounds he claims he owed in fees and costs.

Sheikh Hamad went on to elaborate that he had a "lifelong passion" for Bollywood cinema and wanted to meet stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh and Aishwarya Rai.

In his witness statement, the royal said he paid Ahmed about 2.7 million pound for meetings with Bollywood idols, but only because he "wanted to please him", rather than due to any contractual obligations.

"When I learned of the claims that Ahmed was making against me in these proceedings, I was astonished," he said. "I was grateful to (Ahmed) for helping me to meet four top Bollywood artists.

"I expressed my gratitude frequently by words and my gestures: in total, he received around 2.7 million pounds from me in relation to these meetings. "I considered this sum was comfortably in excess of the amount that he had incurred in costs and expenses, including in fees for the Bollywood artists.

"I do not think that this gives him licence to demand vast sums of money to which he is not entitled." Sheikh Hamad has now contended that the alleged arrangement is "entirely fictitious".
