With Salman Khan’s Sultan and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees releasing on the day of Eid, Bollywood was expecting its biggest box office war ever in the industry. But now, it may not happen, thanks to Shah Rukh Khan and team Raees. As per a report on a leading entertainment portal the two movies will not be releasing on the same date as Shah Rukh Khan has deffered the relase day to 2017.

It seem that the tough decision has been taken in the view to avoid any further battles. Interestingly, this year’s almost all festive dates were block by other A-listers. ‘Rustom’ featuring Akhay Kumar will have an Independance Day release, while Ajay Devgn’s directorial will hit the screens on Diwali and Aamir Khan will return to the silverscreen in December. So, to clear all the ambiguity surrounding the release of ‘Raees’, the makers of the film – SRK, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhar have decided to push the release date to January next year, reports suggest. The trio issued a joint statement to put all speculations regarding the release of ‘Raees’ to rest, reports

“It was not an easy decision to move the film. We understand that this film is highly anticipated. However, a movie of such magnitude requires the appropriate showcasing and therefore, we have decided to shift our release date to 26th January 2017,” the trio said in the statement.
