Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero is for those who don’t fit in. But Shah Rukh Khan starrer is struggling to make its place at the ticket window this week. Zero, being one of the most-anticipated movies of the year 2018, had given us sky-high hopes. Despite such immaculate acting by all the actors, the film fell flat at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer romantic drama managed to hit Rs 20.14 crore on the day of its release.
Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma-starrer Zero received mix reviews and the Netizens begun writing their reactions on social media. While many praised the movie, there are many who criticised it for the loose plot.
Bollywood Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted, Zero has "underperformed" at the box office on the opening day. “#Zero has underperformed on Day 1, despite extensive release <4380 screens> + #Christmas vacations... Sat and Sun biz extremely crucial... Fri ₹ 20.14 cr. India biz.†He wrote.Â
The film was already dapped in infinitesimal pressure of hitting big at the box-office. Clocking around 3500 screens, trade analysts predicted a good opening collection for Zero, but ended up in disappointment.Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Expected so much from this collaboration … Sadly, the flawed writing - especially the second hour - takes the film downhill... EPIC DISAPPOINTMENT... #ZeroReviewâ€Â
Although, Zero’s performance is better than Shah Rukh’s last release Jab Harry Met Sejal which earned Rs 15.25 crore on the day of its release.
