Legendary actor Shashi Kapoor, who had been suffering from a kidney ailment for years, breathed his last at Mumbai's Kokilaben Ambani Hospital on Monday. The 'Deewar' actor was 79. The funeral is set to take place on Tuesday morning.
Talking to PTI nephew Randhir Kapoor said, "Yes he has passed away. He had kidney problem since several years. He was on dialysis for several years."
Actor Rishi Kapoor, who was shooting for Rajma Chawal in Delhi, has rushed back to Mumbai after the demise of veteran actor-producer and his uncle Shashi Kapoor.
Kapoor's demise has left the country saddened and many of them have described it as a 'Black Day' of Bollywood. From Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Twitterati was buzzing with heartfelt messages across the nation.
