Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is busy preparing for her upcoming movie 'Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai' in which she will be seen playing the titular role. The movie happens to be a biopic on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar.
While the actress is making every possible effort to give her best performance in the movie, there is a buzz that Shraddha might lend her voice for 'Haseena'.
Music composer duo Sachin-Jigar, who are working on the movie asserted that they might ask the 'Aashiqui 2' girl too croon if required.
"If there is something that crops up where we feel Shraddha can add value we will rope her in. We don't know yet if there is a requirement but of course given an opportunity, we will make sure that she sings and that too in a brand new avatar," Sachin-Jigar said.
Talking about the movie, Sachin-Jigar stated that it is a challengable project for them as they haven't done such a movie earlier.
The duo even stated that reason for them to take up 'Haseena' was that it will help them set new parameters for themselves and will give them a chance to deliver a film which is out of their comfort zone.
"The film pans across a certain period and the brief was to cater to that era but not making it sound (out) dated. We are just retaining the vibe of the era but keeping the lyrics and the sound more new age. We are going to fuse a few elements which can transport listeners back to a forgotten era in a relevant atmosphere," Sachin-Jigar added.
'Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai' will also feature Shraddha's brother Sidhant Kapoor in the role of of Dawood Ibrahim. Interestingly, this is the first time Shraddha will be sharing the screen space with her brother.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, 'Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai' will hit the screens on July 14 next year.
