Sara Ali Khan is all set to take over the Bollywood and her debut has got the tinselvile buzzing for a while now. It was reported that Sara will be stepping into Bollywood with Rohit Shett's upcoming directorial Simmba opposite Ranveer Singh which is scheduled for a December release this year.
Simmba is said to be the remake of Tamil movie Temper.
While producers Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty were ecstatic to have Sara on board, there are reports that her mother Amrita Singh has put forward a special demand for her debut with Simmba.
As per a report published in Mid-Day, Amrita has demanded a meaty role for daughter Sara.
A source reportedly told Mid-Day, "The movie has a message about women's safety, with an emphasis on Sara's character. While the leading lady in the Telugu original served only as the love interest, her character will be more involved in the story".
"The writers are reworking the parts of both, the leading man and his love interest. Since this is Sara Ali Khan's debut film, Amrita was clear that she shouldn't be overshadowed by Ranveer." the source added.
Well, looks like Amrita's demand are quite genuine as being a mother she is hoping for a grand debut for Sara Ali Khan.
On a related note, Sara Ali Khan was earlier said to make her debut with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the movie got delayed after a tiff between the director and the producers.
