Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture and much-anticipated flick of 2018 Simmba had a wonderful first weekend and is still going strong at the box office. The film has even crossed Rs 100 crore mark worldwide in just three days of its release. Simmba is also on the verge to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office as well. The movie also had an amazing Monday and churned out more than its opening day.

The story of the flick revolves around a corrupt cop ‘Simmba’ who believes in just making money by hook or by crook. Suddenly, an incident changes his life completely which leads him to follow the right path.

Film’s performance on Indian ticket windows has surpassed an estimated Rs 75 crore. Rohit Shetty directorial has done exceptionally well at the International market minting Rs 29 crore in international markets, including $1.7 million (Rs 11 crore) on its opening weekend in USA and Canada taking its worldwide collection to 100 crores in its opening weekend.
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero could not manage to impress the audience which lead to an empty path for Ranveer Singh starrer.
2018 has proven to be a ladder in Ranveer Singh’s career. Two biggest grossing movies of the year Padmaavat and Simmba have not only earned critical accolade for the actor but also won him more fans with his stellar performance in both films.
Helmed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba also features Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in significant roles. The flick also has cameo appearances from Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and the entire Golmaal team.
Simmba is a Hindi remake of a Telugu flick Temper.
