The trailer of much-awaited film and Rohit Shetty’s directorial venture Simmba is finally out. The trailer looks promising and will reprise memories of Ajay Devgn starrer Singham, who fought crime in his own macho style.
In the three-minute trailer, we can see that Simmba is an orphan from Shivgarh where beloved police officer Singham was born and raised. But rather than following the foot steps of Singham, he believes that a corrupt officer’s life is an ideal life. He can be seen taking bribes and behave like an unethical police officer until one incident which brings complete change in him and forces him to choose the righteous path.
Produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, Relaince Entertainment and Rohit Shetty Picturez, Simmba features Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan in lead roles and Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
In an interview with Mid-Day, Shetty revealed the reason for roping Sara for Simmba and said that she is made for masala movies. He said, "When I met Sara for the first time, I realised she is a hardcore commercial heroine. She is made for masala films. Sara approached me saying she wanted to work with me. I thought she’d be perfect for Simmba. She’ll match Ranveer’s craziness because her character in the film is such''.
Helmed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba is slated to release on December 28.
