Bollywood is gearing up for the wedding of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja in Mumbai on May 8. The marriage festivities will start from May 7 and will be attended by family members and close friends.
There have been a lot of speculations over the wedding date of Sonam and Anand and all the rumours were laid to rest when the Kapoor and Ahuja family released a statement on Tuesday.
“The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on May 8 in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives’’, the statement read.
Before the big fat Indian marriage takes place, the wedding invite is already doing the rounds on social media. According to reports, the Neerja actress has opted for e-invites instead of the traditional paper wedding card.

MEHENDI
The mehendi ceremony will take place at Sunteck, Signature Island, BKC on May 7. The function will begin at 4pm and the dress code for the same has been kept as shades of white.
WEDDING
The Delhi-6 actress, who is known for her stunning style statement, wanted to take the green route, suggested a report. The wedding will take place at Kapoor's heritage Rockdale located in 226, Bandstand, Bandra.
The marriage will be conducted following Sikh traditions, which is known as Anand Karaj. The guests have been asked to wear Indian traditional outfits for the same.
RECEPTION
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will host a lavish reception on May 8 at The Leela in Mumbai.
