Sonam Kapoor who has never shied away from giving back answers hurled at her finally addresses pic of dad Anil Kapoor with Dawood Ibrahim that surfaced on the internet last August following her comment on the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir while sitting down with BBC Asia Network. The Neerja raising her voice regarding the recent firing incidents in Shaheen Bagh and Jamia Millia Islamia University replied to a TOI post on the incident by writing on Twitter,
“This is something that I never imagined would happen in India. Stop this divisive dangerous politics. It fuels HATE. If you believe yourself to be a Hindu then understand that the religion is about Karma and dharma and this is not either of those.”
While many praised the actor for not choosing to remain silent, some netizens used her opinion on the political scenario to dig up the pic of Anil Kapoor with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Replying to the tweets that questions her father’s relationship with Dawood, Sonam replied,
