Sonchiriya' Trailer: Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar galvanize in dacoit drama of Chambal

Sushant Singh Rajput is one actor who loves to surprise his audience by his looks and his performances. The actor, who won our hearts with his magnificent performance in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and his boy next door looks in his last release Raabta, is all set to make us drool all over again with his upcoming movie Sonchiriya.

The makers released the first trailer for actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar’s upcoming film, Sonchiriya on Monday. The film, directed by Abhishek Chaubey of Udta Punjab fame narrates the terrifying tale of dacoits in Chambal region during Emergency in 1975.

The 3-minute trailer starts with dacoits, played by Sushant, Ranvir Sheorey and Manoj Bajpayee, hiding inside a house from the police. The story then develops into inter-gang wars between the groups of dacoits, fighting to acquire control of central India back then as government forces break down on the dacoits. Bhumi Pednekar is seen in a never before badass woman avatar.

The intriguing trailer also boasts of a powerful star cast with Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana and Ranvir Shorey in pivotal roles. 

The film also marks the unison of a fresh pair Sushant Singh and Bhumi Pednekar. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The screenplay of the film is by Sudip Sharma and the music is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is set to hit the screens on February 8, 2019.
