Kartik Aryan's last release Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has stunned the audience not just with its commendable reviews, but the movie has been doing a stupendous job at the box office as well.
The movie, which was thought to be an average runner, has managed to win the audience hearts to an extent that it has now become the second highest grosser of 2018 after Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat.
With an outstanding collection of Rs 82.10 crore in three weeks, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has dethroned Akshay Kumar's PadMan at the box office which had the collection of Rs 81 crore.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the box office collections of the movie and wrote,
“#SonuKeTituKiSweety is now the SECOND HIGHEST GROSSER of 2018, after #Padmaavat... Crosses #PadMan

Indeed, it is a happy time for the entire SKTKS team. Talking about the success of the movie, director Luv Ranjan told Indian Express, “I am more than happy with the film’s performance. I think this is also proof to the fact that as long as you bring good content to the table, people will always appreciate your work and enjoy it. SKTKS is a film that negates the fact that only a film with huge stars can create big numbers. A lot of times, films do good business without face value but they seldom achieve the kind of numbers that Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has achieved. I am really glad. It just proves the point that I have always believed in, that good content always works.â€
We wonder, if SKTKS will be able to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club in the coming days.
Apart from Kartik, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety stars Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in the lead roles. Interestingly, the three of them have earlier worked together in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, which too was lauded by the audience.
