Karthik Aaryan starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which hit the silver screens on Febraury 23 has opened with a good response at the box office. The comedy drama film which also stars Nushrat Bharucha has managed to become the third best opener in 2018.
The Luv Ranjan directorial is off a to a flying start and has collected Rs 6.42 on its opening day. Interestingly, the flick has emerged as the third best opener of the year after Padmaavat and PadMan.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat collected Rs 19 crore on the very first day while PadMan started its journey at the box office with 10.46 crore. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the masala entertainer on Twitter.

Trade pundits were expecting Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety to rake in Rs 4 crore on the opening day but the flick exceeded their expectations. Despite not boasting of A-list stars and not releasing during a festival, the film impressed the audiences. This is reflecting in the box office collection of the film.
