Sonu Nigam has had his fair share of controversies in recent times, with his statements on the use of loudspeakers for Azaan and now he is at it again by saying that he wanted to be a Pakistani singer instead of an Indian one.

At the Agenda Aaj Tak summit, Sonu Nigam took a jibe at the popularity of Pakistani singers in India. Expressing his anger, Sonu said "Sometimes, I feel as if it would have been better if I were from Pakistan. At least I would get offers from India."

After the Azaan controversy, the singer even shaved off his head in defiance of a 'fatwa' issued by Syed Sha Atef Ali Al Quaderi of the West Bengal Minority Council.

According to some reports, Sonu got on the hit list of terrorist organization Lashkar-E-Taiba after his remarks on the use of loudspeakers for Azaan. The Azaan controversy also led to public protests, and in one isolated incident, the stabbing of a man who supported the singer on Facebook.

Sonu Nigam's lack of work has diverted him on to a ranting race. The hit singer who is crooned for giving voice to many chartbusters from Bollywood is missing in the singing industry for a long time. The singer blames his lack of work on Pakistani singers snatching their projects in terms of their popularity in Indian cinema.

Do you think this remark is going to spark another controversy for Sonu Nigam?
