Bollywood actor Sonu Sood is all set to play the antagonist in Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited film Simmba. The Dabangg star has already started hitting the gym to beef up for his baddie role.
The Happy New Year actor opened up about portraying the role of a villain in the Ranveer Singh starrer. While talking to PTI, the Singh Is Kingg star said that he was always interested in grey characters as there was more scope of performance.
 "It is very challenging (role). When grey character gets entertaining, the job is done. We are all here to entertain you and I am sure you will be entertained," Sonu Sood told PTI.
 Sonu Sood has been appreciated for playing negative roles with perfection in many of his films like R Rajkumar or Dabangg.Â
The 44-year-old actor also said that he was really excited to work with Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh in Simmba. He called Rohit as one of the coolest directors and said he couldn’t wait to be in front of the camera under his direction.
Sonu Sood has some exciting projects lined up for release, be it JP Dutta’s Paltan or Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.  Â

The cast and crew of the film are expected to commence their shooting next month. The cop action film which also stars Sara Alia Khan will hit the silver screens on December 28, 2018.
