Veteran Bollywood writer-director Sagar Sarhadi who wrote the dialogues for Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor starrer Chandni has been admitted to ICU following a heart attack on Thursday. The 84-year-old writer is admitted to SK Mehta & Orthopedics Hospital, Sion, Mumbai.
Sagar Sarhadi rose to fame with Yash Chopra directorial Kabhi Kabhie which went on to do wonders at the box office. He penned the screenplay and dialogue of the film featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakhee Gulzar, Shashi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman.
Sarhadi directed the masterpiece Bazaar which dealt with the issue of bride buying in India. Considered as one of the finest storytellers in Bollywood, Sarhadi has also penned down the screenplay for Silsila.
