Shah Rukh Khan Announces Slew Of Initiatives To Fight Coronavirus; To Focus on Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata

Shah Rukh Khan has joined the bandwagon of all other influential celebs in the Btown to help government and the nation fight the coronavirus pandemic and provide aid to the ones who were worst hit financially due to the lockdown.

SRK through his four companies that includes his production house, Red Chillies Entertainment and Red Chillies VFX,  IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, NGO, Meer Foundation has announced a series of initiatives to make contributions towards variors state and centre relief funds. The companies will initially focus in three metros from where it primarily operates that are Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi.

"My team and I have discussed ways to contribute in our own modest way. We have come up with a series of initiatives, which we hope will make a small difference, " Khan said.

Among the seevn initiatives Khan has listed out are 50,000 personal protective equipments to Maharashtra and West Bengal governments. While KKR will make monetary contribution to PMCares fund, Red Chilles will provide aid to the Maharashtra CM's Relief Fund.

His NGO Meer foundation that caters to acid attack victims, along with Ek Saath - The Earth Foundation will set up acommunity kitchen to produce 2,000 cooked meals for household and hospitals that need them and essential items and groceries to over 2,500 wage workers across Delhi.

Meer Foundation and Roti Foundation, set up by former Director-General of Maharashtra Police F Sivanandhan, will provide 3 lakh meal kits with 10,000 people per day for at least a month.

Shah Rukh Khan urged people to mke acollective effort and look out for themselves and each other. He said, "This is a moment for all of us to come together in a collective effort to make each other kinder, stronger and braver to face the days ahead."
