After creating much hype post release, Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' is winning lots of appreciations from the audience.
The audience is finding it hard to resist the movie and are lauding the commendable performances of the entire cast.
Despite the demonetisation drive taking a toll on the box office, 'Dangal' has managed to mint Rs 29.78 crore on its day of release.
Interestingly, if we go by the box office collections, the Aamir starrer is witnessing a tough competition from Salman Khan's 'Sultan' which too was based on wrestling.
Unfortunately, despite being one of the most awaited movies of the year, 'Dangal' has failed to beat the first day collections of 'Sultan' which earned Rs 36.54 crores on its opening day.
However, if the trade experts are to be believed, 'Dangal' will enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club in its first weekend, i.e., three days after release.
On the other hand, if we talk about 'Sultan' box office collections, the Salman Khan starrer had entered the Rs 100 crore club in just three days of release with a collection of Rs 105.53 crore.
In fact, 'Sultan' made a collection of Rs 180. 36 crore in its opening weekend. However, the movie had a benefit of an extended weekend, given that the movie was released on Wednesday.
But leaving behind the first weekend collections, it will be interesting to see if 'Dangal' be able to beat 'Sultan' in post its three days of release, given that the Aamir Khan starrer too is released at the festive time.
