Sunidhi Chauhan, famous playback singer turned 35 on Tuesday. Sunidhi has widely been compared to Asha Bhonsle for her husky and melodious voice. Sunidhi Chauhan began her career at the age of 12, with the film Shastra (1996). During the year, she won the first singing reality show titled Meri Awaz Suno and rose to prominence after recording “Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi” from Mast (1999). Her second breakthrough was released in 2000, with the song “Mehboob Mere” from Fiza, for which she received another Filmfare nomination in 2000.

1. ‘Kaisi Paheli’ from movie Parineeta (2005):
Kaisi Paheli Zindagani lyrics of Parineet is penned by Swanand Kirkire, it’s composed by Shantanu Moitra. The film featured Vidya Balan (In her Bollywood Debut), Saif Ali Khan and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.
2. ‘Bhaage Re Mann’ from Chameli (2004):
This song by Sunidhi Chauhan was a superhit. Lyrics of this song are written by Irshad Kamil and music by Sandesh Shandilya. The movie stars Kareena Kapoor and Rahul Bose, and was directed by Anant Balani.
3. ‘Main Mast’ from Mast (1999):
Mast is a movie directed by Ram Gopal Varma featuring Urmila Matondkar, Aftab Shivdasani. In this movie Sunidhi Chauhan has three songs to her credit. This movie became an instant hit at the box office.

4. ‘Dekho Na’ from Fanaa (2006):
Dekho Na was the song from Fanaa movie. Her voice combined with Aamir Khan and Kajol’s chemistry in the song really stirred our souls in Fanah. The movie was directed by Kunal Kohli and produced by Yash Raj Films. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Tabu and Sharat Saxena in pivotal roles.
5. ‘Soniye’ from Ek Ajnabee (2005):
The song from Aksar is one of Bollywood’s most popular romantic numbers and we have Sunidhi to thank for it. The film Ek Ajnabee is directed by Apoorva Lakhia, with Amitabh Bachchan playing Denzel Washington's role. Co-starring are Arjun Rampal and Perizaad Zorabian.
