Super 30 box-office collection day 3: Hrithik Roshan’s film continues to create magic, mints Rs 50.76 crore

Hrithik Roshan’s film continues to create magic.

Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 continues to create magic at the box-office. The film earned Rs. 11.83 crore on its opening day and earned Rs. 20.74 crore on Sunday, taking the total collection to Rs 50.76 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adrash shared the number on Twitter saying, ''#Super30 has an excellent weekend… Performed exceptionally well at multiplexes of metros and Tier-2 cities, while mass circuits also saw a healthy trend… Fri 11.83 cr, Sat 18.19 cr, Sun 20.74 cr. Total: ₹ 50.76 cr. India biz.''

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film is based on the life of Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar, who teaches underprivileged kids for free and helps them crack the IIT entrance exam.

Super 30 release was delayed for a long time due to two major reasons.  First, the film’s director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexually assaulting a colleague, and then to avoid clashing at the box office with Kangana Ranaut’s film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and then Mental Hai Kya. The makers finally decided to release the film before Mental Hai Kya on July 12.

On Super 30 day, the 45-year-old actor tweeted to say, "As a child, math certainly wasn't one of my favourite subjects but as an actor love is an emotion I strongly connect with. It was the chemistry between Anand and mathematics that translates into pure romance. So, with all the love in my heart, I present Super 30 to my audience."

Hrithik will next be seen with Tiger Shroff in Siddharth Anand's War. The film, which is produced by Yash Raj Films, is set to hit the screens on October 2.
