Giving a much needed push for the success of the Narendra Modi government's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has emphasised the urgent need for youth of the nation to take active part in the clean India drive.
More than just a face, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan needs efforts by the youth, the actor says, adding that the clean India drive will be successful only if everyone does their bit.
"As the Swachh Bharat Mission is moving towards building an ODF India, the contribution of the youth is now more important than ever," the actor said in a video message posted on the official Twitter handle of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Amitabh recently appeared in a video message for the government initiative, where he is seen advocating cleanliness and making the country open defecation free.
"Join the Swachh Bharat Summer internship and help us build a cleaner nation," the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan captioned the video.

The 75-year-old actor retweeted the Swachh Bharat Mission's tweet and wrote: "More needs to be done, and we shall do it, not just by voice and face, but working for it... I shall certainly!"
Surely, more needs to be done as the country continues to struggle to get rid of several hazards it faces.
