New Delhi:

Swara Bhasker is one actress who is always at the centre of some controversy or the other on social media. This time, Swara is hogging the limelight for her latest comments on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). In the video going viral, the actress can be heard saying that she is scared of these Acts since she does not have any valid identity proof.

''Mujhe lag raha hai. Mere paas toh hai hi nahi koi degree. Mere paas birth certificate nahi hai. Mere paas apne baap-dada ke koi zameen ke kaagaz nahi hai. Mera naam chhoot gaya NRC se toh? (I am scared. I don’t have any degree. I don’t have a birth certificate. I don’t have any of my father’s or grandfather’s property papers. What if my name is left out of the NRC?)'' she says in the viral video.

Soon after Swara's comment, Wikipedia changed her date of birth and age. Earlier, her birth date was 9 April 1988 and now it has been changed to 9 April 1978. Her age has also been increased by 10 years.

Swara was mercilessly trolled for her comments in the video. One user wrote, "Failed Actress #SwaraBhaskar recently said that how will she prove her citizenship when she doesn't have PAN, Passport or other things! But she regularly calls up her agent through her Mobile Phone & books tickets for Foreign Travel & calls her CA & files Income Tax Returns!" While another said, "FBI, CBI should investigate jointly to find out who is @ReallySwara . She is the only sample in the world who has no proof of her identity.

Swara hit back with a savage response. After a series of laughing emojis, she wrote, ''FBI?????? I love how Bhakts make me so worthy as to have the FBI pursue me!''

Last week, she, along with her Raanjhanaa co-star Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, raised her voice against the new legislation at the Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi.
