The reason for the growth of T-Series is coincided with the increase in the number of internet users in India which is approximately 460 million and with the recent slashing of prices of the data plans is being considered major factor for the same.
PewDiePie even released a video titled ‘T-Series exposed’ in which he questioned the growth rate of T-Series and advanced theories including the popular belief in auto-subs to the channel.
He said, "How can a channel that has so many subscribers and gaining subscribers so quickly get so little views on some videos?’’. Although, he admitted that he will soon be going to lose the crown to T-Series.
Gautam Anand – head of YouTube Asia Pacific said, “India is a really great bright spot. It’s one of the fastest-growing markets even within Asia’’. YouTube now accounts for 20-25 per cent of T-Series sales, which is nearly $100 million.
