Saqib Saleem have rubbished the reports of him dating Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu and said that the two are just good friends. Reportedly, there have been rumours about the two dating each other and their frequent hangouts have made the grapevine about their affair abuzz. Besides, their perfect chemistry in their song 'Tum Ho To' even added fuel to the fire and left people speculating about their relationship status.
Howver, during his recent interview with Hindustan Times, Saqib cleared the air about the dating rumours and said that Taapsee is nothing more than a friend for him.
"I am not dating her yaar. Few people have asked me this question and this is what I keep telling them. Taapsee is my dearest friend, and there is nothing more than that," Saqib told HT.
He further averred that the two share a great camaraderie and love to spend time together.
"The thing is that woh bhi Dilli ki laundi hai, aur main bhi Dilli ka launda hoon (She is a Delhi girl and I am a Delhi boy). So, we are really comfortable in each other's company. She has an amazing sense of humour, and I love spending time with her. Woh bahot chill laundi hai (she is a chilled out person). I keep telling her that she should behave like an actor. But she tells me she doesn't have that vibe, and she can't behave that way. That's why I say she is a very easy and comfortable person to be with. But, we are not dating each other, except on-screen for our next film," Saqib added.
Interestingly, it's been a while when Taapsee admitted to be in a relationship. While 'Naam Shabana' actress didn't reveal the name of her man, Pannu stated that she is quite of her relationship status.
"I'm extremely proud of my relationship status and the person I'm with," Taapsee told India Today.
Notably, Taapsee and Saqib will soon be sharing the screen space once again in their upcoming movie 'Makhna'.
Currently, the diva is busy shooting for Varun Dhawan starrer 'Judwaa 2', which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead. The movie is expected to release in September this year.
