Taapsee Pannu is on roll with back-to-back hits like Badla, Mission Mangal and Saand Ki Aankh. Now as per the latest buzz, the actress will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next. Taapsee will be seen in a double role in the film titled Sia Jia. A source close to the development told PTI that the project will go on floors next year.
"Taapsee will be playing a double role in 'Sia Jia'. This will be her first double role. It is very interesting and different kind of film. The film will go on floors next year," the source said. The film will be produced by Bhansali under his banner Bhansali Productions along with Shabina Khan. The duo had previously collaborated on Akshay Kumar-starrer 2012 film Rowdy Rathore.
The actress will be seen next in Anubhav Sinha's "Thappad". ''Thappad' is about those said-unsaid things women are supposed to do. For years we have been living like that. It raises questions like ‘why women need to be a certain way?' I'm playing this average Indian woman, who is also taught to be a certain way. The biggest challenge for me and Anubhav sir was how to rip that fiery image off me because audiences are used to seeing me doing something radical,’’ the actor had earlier told PTI.
Thappad is slated to release on Women’s Day in March 2020. Bhansali's next directorial venture will be Baiju Bawra, which is scheduled to be released in Diwali 2021. Bhansali Productions had last month announced that they are co-producing "Gangubai Kathiawadi" with Alia Bhatt in the lead.
