Tabu, Sriram Raghavan taking 'Andhadhun' to IFFM at Melbourne

Actor Tabu and director Sriram Raghavan are gearing up to present their film 2018 superhit movie Andhadhun at the 2019 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne at its 10 edition to be held from August 8 to 17 in Victoria, Melbourne.

The thriller, released in October last year to critical acclaim and box office success.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is the official chief guest at the festival.

Tabu and Sriram will also engage in a special discussion regarding the film, which will also be screened at the festival.

"'Andhadhun' has been a very exciting journey for us and now taking it to Melbourne for this special screening is another landmark. I totally look forward to interacting with Indian cinema lovers in Australia," Sriram said in a statement. 

Andhadhun released in China in March 2019 under the title Piano Player, and took the box office in the neighbouring country by storm. The film stopped just short of the $50-million mark due to the release of Avengers: Endgame, but earned over Rs 325 crore to become the third-highest grossing Bollywood film in China after Dangal and Secret Superstar.

Raghavan however, has said that he is not looking forward to a sequel for the movie.  "A sequel to Andhadhun? NO. In capital letters. Kuch cheezein adhoori hi hone se poori hoti hai (Some things are better left incomplete)," he told an entertainment website.

Andhadhun, adark comedy thriller also starred Radhika Apte and Ayushmann Khurrana in key roles.
