Tamil superstar Rajinikanth who is known to go to the hills to take a meditative break left for the Himalayas on Saturday. The veteran actor has been following the decade old practice before the release of his films.
It comes as no surprise as the 67-year-old is gearing up for the release of two huge films and also his entry in the political arena. Most of his earlier visits to the hills have coincided with big events in his life.
While talking to media at Chennai airport, the ‘Kabali’ actor said that he will be away from the hustle and bustle of city life for at least fifteen days. The ‘Sivaji’ actor, however, didn’t elaborate the reason of the annual visit.
According to reports, the ‘Chaalbaaz’ actor is said to spend some time at the meditation centre which he and his friends built in Himalayas to celebrate 100 years of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS). For the uninitiated, the society was founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1917.
It is believed that Rajinikanth goes to a cave where sage Mahavatar Babaji once lived. Interestingly, the megastar played the role of atheist who meets sage Balaaji in the thriller ‘Baba’.
Rajinikanth had announced last year that he would launch his own party and contest all the 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu during the Assembly elections in 2021.
On the professional front, the Padma Vibhushan awardee will be seen in 'Kaalaa' which will hit the silver screens on April 27. The ‘Thalaiva’ will also be seen in the sequel of 'Enthiran'- 2.0 which will be released later this year.
