The #MeToo movement which began as a voice against sexual offence and misconduct has now turned into another publicity hoopla. Tanushree Dutta’s allegation against Nana Patekar triggered a row of emerging controversies in the B-Town. Rakhi being Rakhi, released a series of videos on Instagram, further asserting to her statement and targeted Tanushree for her publicity. She went on suggesting that she will soon respond to Tanushree with a defamation suit of Rs 50 crore. Rakhi said, “She has filed a Defamation case against me for 10 crores I will file one for 50 crores. I will file a 50 crore defamation case against Tanushree for calling me a lower class girl.”

The actor was speaking her mind with the journalist-turned businessman Wahid Ali Khan. She also hinted that Tanushree was doing this for money. “Nana Patekar and Raj Thackeray have not given attention to Tanushree Dutta. She tried her best to rob them, this was just a publicity stunt for a passport, Visa or a bank account or even if it’s for her Bollywood comeback. They did not give her any attention so now she feels that she should target me. Now she wants publicity on my name and is gone to court. I will give a befitting reply in court,” says the child of controversy.

Rakhi also fees that the original purpose of the #MeToo movement is not being achieved. “It is not going in the right direction. Various girls are coming and taking advantage of the movement and without facing harassment, are accusing innocent men. I feel bad for those women who have actually suffered sexual harassment and they won’t be heard because of girls who are lying,” says Rakhi.
