Singer Taylor Swift has been named the highest-paid musician of last year with a revenue of USD 73.5 million, according to a magazine.

The 26-year-old pop sensation became the top earner of the year thanks to her 1989 World Tour, which included cameo appearances by Julia Roberts, Mick Jagger and Joan Baez.

Swift’s USD 61.7 million in touring revenue accounted for the lion’s share of her 2015 haul, but Ryan Adams’ stark reinterpretation of her 1989 album also helped make her the top earner of publishing royalties, reported Billboard.

Country star Kenny Chesney settles at second position in the poll after earning USD 39.8 million. The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel and One Direction complete the top five in the same order.

Irish band U2 stands at eighth position with an earning of USD 21.8 million, while Oscar-winning singer Adele is one position behind the group after making USD 20.5 million last year.
