Parineeti Chopra's upcoming film, The Girl On The Train has finally got a release date. The much-awaited film will hit the theaters countrywide May 8 next year. Thye film is an official remake of the 2016 thriller featuring Emily Blunt. The film is based on Paula Hawkins' 2015 bestseller of the same name and in the film. Parineeti will play the role of an alcoholic divorcee, who gets involved in a missing person's investigation but more on that later.
Along with the release date, Parineeti also shared a couple of stills from the film and wrote: "The most thrilling ride of my life! Guys, the Hindi adaptation of #TheGirlOnTheTrain will release on May 8, 2020."

Parineeti’s first look in the film was revealed in August as the photo portrayed the actor sitting in a bathtub with a bruised face and smudged Kohled eyes. The image had created quite a buzz on the internet as fans were excited to see Parineeti's look in the film.
Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari and Avinash Tiwari in lead roles. Earlier, after filming The Girl On The Train, Parineeti Chopra stated how the movie will "stay with her" forever and that she will miss playing the character she plays in The Girl On The Train. She shared a heartfelt note that read: "This is a film that has for the first time stayed with me after I have finished it. A character that will live inside me permanently. I miss her. I miss playing her. I feel like I've grown up. I feel so much but most of all, I feel grateful."
Parineeti recently lent her voice for Disney’s Frozen 2 in Hindi. Parineeti Chopra’s sister and celebrity Priyanka Chopra also lent her voice for the film. The Frozen 2 actor is basking in the film's success at the box-office as it has grossed over ₹100 crores so far.
