The Lion King which will also be released in the Hindi version has slowly unravelled which Bollywood stars are to step in the roles of the Disney 1994 remake. After Shah Rukh Khan and son Aryan Khan confirmed that the father-duo will be lending their voice as father-son duo, Mufasa-Simba originally voiced by James Earl Jones as Mustafa and son Simba by Mathew Broderick in the 1994 version, new reports have surfaced about who will be voicing other iconic characters such as that of ‘Scar’ and the animated meerkat and warthog duo, ‘Timon and Pumbaa’.
According to a report by PinkVilla, actor Ashish Vidyarthi, known will be voicing the evil brother and uncle ‘Scar’. As for the animated duo, ‘Timon and Pumbaa, actors Shreyas Talpade and Sanjay Mishra have reportedly been roped in to play the animated meerkat and warthog duo.
Other stars who will be seen stepping into the roles of the classic 1994 movie includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce as Nala which was unveiled in the new trailer clip, James Earl Jones will return as as Simba's father Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as ‘Scar’ previously voiced by Jeremy Irons, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi and JD McCrary as the younger Simba.
The Lion King hits the big screen this July 19.
