Fatima Sana Shaikh has rubbished the reports about her being recommended by Aamir Khan for his upcoming movie 'Thugs Of Hindostan' and said that the superstar isn't the kind of person who pushes anybody. There have been reports that while the names of several actress were doing the rounds for the movie, Fatima was finalised as she was Aamir's choice as the two had worked together in Khan's last release 'Dangal' where she played the role of Geeta Phogat.
"Nobody was surprised when Fatima Sana Shaikh was signed opposite Aamir Khan in Thugs Of Hindostan. While a few top actresses including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and even Vaani Kapoor were in talks to do the film, most of them, save Vaani, weren’t so keen once they heard the fee for the film, especially when Aamir was being given his market price and more. The actresses had loved the script as it revolved around the female protagonist taking revenge but the talks fizzled out when they realised that Aditya Chopra wanted them to sign the film almost for free. There was a discussion whether Vaani or Fatima suited the role better — the latter was Aamir’s choice and the former Adi’s. Eventually, Aamir had his way," a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.

However, Fatima cleared the air saying that Aamir is a director's actor. "He is not that kind of a person... He doesn't push for anybody. He doesn't get involved in all of this. He is a director's actor and remains focused. That's how I know him, and that's how I see him. I don't know where all this is coming from," Fatima told IANS.
Interestingly, apart from 'PK' actor, Fatima will also be seen sharing the screen with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and the young actress is way too excited about it. "Amitabh sir is a legend. He had sent me a letter and bouquet after 'Dangal' and I never thought I will get to do a film with him. I am very happy," she said.
Helmed by YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra, 'Thugs of Hindostan' will reportedly hit the floors early next year and is expected to release on Diwali 2018.
