It seems like Bollywood and controversies run hand-in-hand. The Padmavati row isn’t over yet and fate of another Bollywood release is hanging in the balance. This time its Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

MNCS President Amey Khopkar warned the Bollywood filmmakers from screening their movies at the cost of the Marathi movies. He said, "We are not against the release of any film, including Tiger Zinda Hai, our objection is why should all the slots be reserved for just one film and all others have no slots to exhibit their films’’.

He further said, "The monopolising of theatres by Yashraj Films in this manner. They should not forget that they do all their film shootings in Maharashtra. If this matter is not resolved amicably, we shall be forced to stop even their shoots’’.

Filmmaker Santosh Manjrekar came out in support of Hindi film industry and said, "The two film industries (Marathi and Hindi) can survive together. Why do Hindi film producers arm twist theatre owners in giving all screens for their movies? If your movie is good, it will run for the second week also. What a few Hindi filmmakers are doing is to kill the Marathi film industry’’.

On the other hand, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial venture ‘Padmavati’, which was scheduled to release on December 1 was postponed due to the protests by Rajput community across the country.
