After Big Boss Telugu contestant Mumaith Khan has received a notice from the excise department in connection with an ongoing investigation into a drug racket a couple of days back, B-town actress Kajal Agarwal's manager has been dragged into the case.
According to reports, Kajal's manager namely Ronny was arrested on Monday by Hyderabad police and the drug scandal in Tollywood has taken an unexpected step forward. Reportedly, Ronny has even worked for Top League actress Lavanya Tripati and Raashi Khanna too.
SIT has raided his residence in Hyderabad as they have presumed a close links with the racket.
Meanwhile, Puttkar Ronson Joseph alias Johnny Josep, another celebrity manager has been arrested under the NDPS Act on Monday after the excise officials raided Joseph's Manikonda residence on Monday morning.
Actor Navdeep has also been questioned by officials and the process continued for about 12 hours on his links with arrested event manager-cum-drug peddler Zeeshan.
"I gave very clear answers to questions posed to me about my link with an event manager. Everything is OK," the actor was quoted while interacting with media.
In the mean time, taking the matter to Twitter Kajal on Tuesday has issued an statement and cleared her part regarding the matter. She has refused to be aware about all those stuff with which people is connected besides their professional commitments. Kajal has also mentioned her parent's huge influence in connection with her career.
On the work front, Kajal who was last seen in Tamil drama 'Vivegam', is gearing up for her next Telugu release 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' and others.
Also starring 'Baahubali' fame Rana Daggubati, the film is expected to hit the screens in 2017.
