There was a lot of hue and cry over the viral video showing a little girl being scolded and slapped by her tutor during a math class. The video made a lot of waves across different sections of society and prompted anguished reactions from Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Robin Uthappa, and Yuvraj Singh.

Following Virat’s response, singer Toshi Sabri has come out with an explanation. Toshi addressed Virat Kohli saying the child is his niece and that the video had not been meant for public circulation. The little girl, three-years-old, is stubborn and was filmed as proof, Toshi Sabri told a leading daily.
"The video was made by the child's mother, who wanted to show her brother and husband how stubborn the girl has become," Toshi Sabri told Hindustan Times.
"Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan don't know about us. We know about our child better. Her nature is such that after being scolded, the next minute she runs off to play. But because of her nature if we don't push her, she won't study," Toshi added.
I request parents to be patient with ur kids at all times. Every child learns at his own pace. Pls refrain from beating/degrading them. ðŸ™ðŸ™ pic.twitter.com/jy8xV8gC9M

"All the crying was for that moment so that her mother doesn't make her study and let her play," said Toshi, adding that the family did not expect this kind of backlash.
This is heart wrenching. Children shouldn't be raised this way. This needs to stop. I pray we can raise our kids with love instead of fear. pic.twitter.com/6R4mKrFy4r
