Total Dhamaal box-office collection: Ajay Devgn starrer creates magic at box-office, enters Rs 100 crore club

Total Dhamaal starring Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles has entered the Rs 100 crore club in nine days. The star-studded comedy film has struck the right chord with its audience. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, ''#TotalDhamaal crosses ₹ 100 cr... Biz jumps on Sat... Mass circuits and metros collectively contribute to the growth... Will score higher numbers today ... Fri 4.75 cr, Sat 7.02 cr. Total: ₹ 106.32 cr. India biz.''

The film recorded a wonderful opening at Rs 16. 50 crore and earned Rs 93 crore at the box-office in its first week. Directed by Indra Kumar, the film boasts of a huge star cast which also includes Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Esha Gupta, Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani. The film also sees Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit sharing screen space after almost two decades.

Recently, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, when Indra Kumar was asked about getting such a dreamy ensemble together, he had said, "It was more nostalgic as I was teaming up with Ajay, Anil, and Madhuri after a long time. There was no trouble getting any of the actors on board because their tracks had them laughing out loud. It took just one narration to get the cast in place. And as a director, I’ve played to everyone’s strengths."

Total Dhamaal was initially scheduled to hit cinemas on December 2018, but the release date was shifted to 22 February.
