A mythological tale forms the backbone of this horror film. The visuals are haunting and set up the premise for an intense horror thriller.
As the trailer of Tumbbad begins, we see a family leaving the old city of Tumbbad. The two-and-a-half minute trailer delves into the story of the film. Tumbbad centres on the Rao family and their son and heir Vinayak (Sohum Shah), whose greed for wealth opens the doors to horror. The film narrates a story about a temple that holds treasures and fortunes. When men discover gold in the temple, they begin taking it little by little. Unfortunately, when the gates are unlocked, the mayhem unleashes. Many are swallowed in by this greed for the treasure and not all come back alive. Watch the trailer here:

The mythological horror film has already won over the international audience after becoming the first film to release at the Venice Film Festival. Along with Harish Khanna and Rojini Chakroborty, the film is set to release on October 12.
