The year 2017 has been quite good for Bollywood as many content based films like Hindi Medium, Bareily Ki Barfi and Newton ended up doing quite well at the box office.
One of the films which has managed to win hearts of the audience is Tumhari Sulu. The Vidya Balan starrer has earned critical acclaim and also showed good growth at the box office.
The slice-of-life comedy film which was released on November 17 has been setting the cash registers ringing. The Suresh Triveni directorial had opened on a slow note but it picked up pace and has now gone on to cross the Rs. 30 crore mark on day 16.
The comedy drama film raked in Rs. 1.30 crore on Saturday and it is expected to do more considering there are no major releases lined up. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the box office collection of the film.Â

Tumhari Sulu has emerged as one of the sleeper hits of the year 2017. The movie beautifully portrayed the story of Sulochana, a Mumbai housewife who becomes a RJ for a late night show on a leading radio station.
