Salman Khan and Boney Kapoor were a hit in the film industry. The duo delivered many hits at the box office including No Entry and Wanted. And that’s not all, if Arjun Kapoor is an actor today, the credit goes to Salman. However, recent reports claimed that equation between Maine Pyar Kiya star and Boney Kapoor strained amid Arjun’s rumoured relationship with Salman's former sister-in-law Malaika Arora.
Now in a recent interview with IANS, Boney Kapoor has opened up about his relationship with Salman. Talking about Arjun and why he never thought of making a film with Arjun, Boney Kapoor said, ''Arjun always wanted to become a film director and that is why I had no plan to launch him, like a new hero. That was not our plan at all. But one day, I got a call from Salman saying Arjun should try his hand in acting because he has all the elements to become one. So, Salman took Arjun under his wings and groomed him.''
He also added how his relationship with Salman has now taken a downward turn. ''Unfortunately, my relationship with Salman is strained now, but initially Salman encouraged Arjun to get into acting. I owe this to Salman,'' he said.
Kapoor also added that amongst all his children; Arjun, Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi; he adores Khushi the most. ''She (Khushi) holds a special place in my heart. Currently all the more, because she is not around. She is abroad for higher education,'' said Boney Kapoor.
On the work front, reports of the sequel of No Entry has been going on for long now, and Kapoor had even confirmed it, though reports of Salman being a part of it or not a part of it is still a mystery. Meanwhile, Arjun and his father are set to work together after Tevar in the remake of Jayam Ravi’s Tamil film Comali.
